Code of Conduct WALTER GROUP | Business Partners CoC Business Partners | October 2025 Page 5 of 10 2.9 Handling of Conflict Minerals With regard to conflict minerals such as tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold, as well as other raw materials such as cobalt, the Business Partner is required to establish processes in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict - Affected and High - Risk Areas. The objective is to identify, prevent and mitigate human rights and environmental risks along the supply chain. The same requirements also apply to downstream actors within the supply chain. Smelters and refiners that do not have demonstrably adequate and independently audited due diligence processes in place must be consistently avoided. 2.10 Due Diligence in the Supply Chain In line with the CSDDD, the Business Partner undertakes to systematically identify, assess and prioritise human rights risks throughout its entire supply chain. It shall implement appropriate and risk-based preventive and remedial measures and regularly review their effectiveness. All relevant measures and outcomes must be properly documented and disclosed transparently to the WALTER GROUP upon request. Where violations are identified, the Business Partner is required to take immediate and appropriate steps to bring such adverse impacts to an end or to minimise them and to adequately involve affected stakeholders in particular, employee representatives or impacted communities. 3. Environmental Responsibility The Business Partner undertakes to comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards and to establish an effective environmental management system. This includes measures to minimise adverse environmental impacts, reduce emissions and waste and promote the responsible use of resources, particularly energy, water and raw materials. The Business Partner must also work continuously to improve its environmental performance and where necessary, develop appropriate contingency plans. 3.1 Protection of Marine Resources In the course of providing services to the WALTER GROUP, the Business Partner is required to take all necessary measures to prevent and minimise the pollution of waters arising from shipping activities. This includes strict compliance with all relevant national and international laws and regulations aimed at protecting marine environments and inland waters from harmful emissions and discharges. 3.2 Discharge of Industrial Wastewater Wastewater from operations, manufacturing processes and sanitary facilities must be monitored prior to or at the time of discharge or disposal. In addition, measures shall be implemented to reduce the generation of wastewater.
